A new venture under the Tata Group umbrella, focusing on precision component manufacturing in collaboration with Apple Inc., undertook a pioneering migration at its Hosur campus in Tamil Nadu — evolving a traditional network into a cutting-edge Juniper Campus network enriched with Mist AI technology.

Overview

Initiated in November 2022, the project introduced Juniper's Mist AI technology and EVPN-VXLAN for a comprehensive and efficient wired and wireless networking solution, restructuring the existing traditional network for the modern enterprise.

Challenges

The principal challenge was addressing complexity accumulated during the plant's initial phases — reducing it while adhering to global networking standards for security, agility and applicability, and maintaining network security with ease of management and scalability.
